College Essay Why I Want to Attend This College Textlength: 196 words 0.6 double spaced pages my purpose and goals in attending college is to make something of my life. But sometimes it takes time in order for one upon graduation from highschool, i, like the majority of other highschool graduates, had no clue what direction my life was heading or even what i wanted to become. So after graduation i decided to explore my options at the university of pittsburgh. Not only was the reasons why i chose to attend college reasons why i chose to attend college attending college has always been something that i have aspired to do. Attending college provides you with an opportunity to acquire a successful job and it is also a great learning experience. Personally, i want to attend college so that i can learn more and grow as a student and as a person. It will help me become better at my chosen field of study and in other areas of learning. I am going to be attending a christian college because they have great christian values and beliefs that coincide with mine. It is a college that has great academics, clubs, and also many campus activities. You rsquo ll never be bored there and you rsquo ll be given an opportunity to meet other like minded students. I know that i will feel safe on this campus and not be alone in my christian beliefs. Without attending college i would not be as skilled in the area of study that i plan on doing. My life would be very different because i would really miss out on all the opportunities that college can provide. This includes academics, a good career, and learning about me, meeting great friends and learning to be independent. My extended family has also attended college and i know that it is the step to take that furthers your knowledge. I was able to narrow down the amount of colleges that i applied to by knowing that i wanted to go to a christian college and also by looking at the states that i would and wouldn rsquo t want to go to. After that was established i searched majors, diversity, activities, housing, rules and other important factors of college life. Once i got accepted to a few different schools it was a very hard decision to make. Everyone wants to be happy in college and stick with the college that they choose so it rsquo s good to know that you rsquo re secure in your choice of school and have compared schools and looked at al the factors involved. The idea of learning being skilled in a specific field is interesting to me and something that would make me feel accomplished. College can be the best years of your life but it is also no joke when it comes to working hard and the work load. I am so grateful to have gotten into college because it is an experience that shapes your life. Other reasons that attending college is a very wise and important choice that someone should make are the following: it is the kick off to a successful career and to being a better, well educated person.people who have attended college usually earn more money than those who have not. This is because employers are looking for workers who are very skilled in a specific field. That is not to say that those who have a high school or associates degree can rsquo t be successful however, those who have a bachelors degree or higher usually get the high paying careers first. In college you will learn from professors intellectually and learn a lot about your chosen major, elective and about life. For example, being in a mock trial or debate team will cause you to do research on a topic that you are arguing and then talking about it with others will help you to see their opinions on the topic as well as yours and you will be able to form an honest, good opinions based on facts and reality. You will be around different type of people from all different states and even countries who you can learn from and grow with which is a great opportunity. While in college i plan on starting an internship to become knowledgeable on how the industry operates. Also while in college i want to keep a strong network with my peers so that i can stay in contact with a variety of people.
