Describe the most likely ways in which technological developments will affect those career goals, in both the short and long term future. In this case, endowed with two children and a husband, being proactive to achieve success is important to me.

I have a year and four months remaining of my enlistment with the united states air force. I have to make certain that i am prepared to transition to a civilian life smoothly. The goals i am currently preparing for include finishing my bachelor’s degree in natural science and master’s degree in business administration. I hope to work for the national weather service or at an airport as a weather observer or forecaster after the completion of my bachelor’s degree. With this degree accompanied with my nine years of weather forecasting in the military, my skills and experience should warrant marketability. Now, technological development in the improvements of radar, models, and satellite availability increases the accuracy of the weather forecast.

Short term advancements will improve forecasting accuracy, while long term will allow for prediction of the weather three to four weeks ahead of time. These improvements in technology continue to save lives and money by notifying the public in advance to take the necessary precautions. For my smart goal, i decided to achieve getting a 4.0 grade point average by the end of the semester. In order to achieve these goals, i need to stay on top of my studies and try to get accepted to a good college.

It has always been my dream to be a child psychologist, and by getting straight a’s and getting accepted into a great college, i can make it happen. Freshmen year was hard for me, because i was juggling hard classes and being on the cheer team, therefore my grades weren’t as great as i wanted them to be. Though, this year i am really trying harder to get better grades, maybe even straight a’s. My experience with good grades and great study habits will help me really apply them this year to get the grades i want to succeed.

When i get these outstanding grades, i will apply to a great college and hopefully be accepted. To attain my goal, and stay on my career path, i will need to train myself to do this. I will train myself by studying hours at a time, and getting into awesome study habits. In order to achieve a goal, there are multiple building blocks that need to fit together so that you are able to accomplish a goal.

Throughout my experience of babysitting and getting lectures from family, i fully understand how to care for children, and the lessons i have received from older family members. The reason i chose child psychology is because i have spent a lot of time with my younger family members, and i understand what they are all about. I believe i can use my skills of care taking to get inside a child’s mind and help them resolve their problems. As for my older family, when i was younger and made mistakes, they always knew just what to say to me to make me feel better, or to help me learn a lesson from something bad i had done. Applying these lectures and life building skills i’ve acquired throughout the years to my future profession, i am confident i will be a successful child psychologist. I need to become more organized and more enthusiastic about work and getting things done. Even though i am mostly good about turning in big projects and assignments on time, i usually procrastinate.

Procrastination is not a good working habit, because if you hold things off to the last minute, the outcome won’t be the best work that you can produce. If you try to plan out a working process last minute, you won’t get the results that you desire. For example, let’s say that i slacked off all semester and didn’t do any work and there are two weeks left until the end of the school year. If i wanted to achieve my goal of getting straight a’s, it would be far too late. There is no way that i could get all of my grades up to a’s in such little time and my goal would be a big failure.

I have a big family, and a loving mother and father to support me with anything i set my mind to. She has been through everything i am going through right now, so i get a lot of advice from her. My family gives me a lot of educational advice, and supports me through my school and hobbies. As for my friends, they have always been there for me, and will continue to motivate me to strive for success.

With the moral support from my family and friends, i am confident that i can achieve my long term and short term goals. I know they won’t happen overnight, but with the skills and habits that i will acquire, i am sure i can achieve my goals. With the support from loved ones, and a positive mentality, i can accomplish anything.

I can tell you now that i will achieve my goals, and i will make something of myself. In future articles ill present a discussion of different research designs.  but, before discussing the various designs used by researchers it is important to identify the goals of scientific research. goals of scientific research many researchers agree that the goals of scientific research are: description, prediction, and explanation/understanding.  some individuals add control and application to the list of goals.  for now, i am going to focus on discussing description, prediction and explanation/understanding. Description refers to the procedures used to define, classify and categorize subjects and their relationships.  descriptions allow us to establish generalizations and universals.  by gathering information on a large group of people, for instance, a researcher can describe the average member or the average performance of a member of the specific group being studied. Describing observations of large groups of people does not take away from the fact that there are important differences among individuals.  that is, researchers merely attempt to describe subjects or events on the basis of average performance generally speaking.  alternatively, description allows researchers to describe a single phenomenon and or observations of a single person.
