Describe how one or more of the values embodied in these concepts are reflected in your life. When i think of florida state university, vires, artes and mores aren’t exactly the words that pop into my head. However, after further research i found the true meaning and concept of these words, and i realized that they actually relate to me in a significant way. First and foremost, i feel that intellect is the aspect of vires that pertains to me the most. Reason being, i have picked up on many things over the course of my life and i have an infinite capacity to learn. I consider myself wise because i have been put through a lot and i know what the circumstances can be if i don’t use my potential to the fullest. My parents had to give up a lot just so my sister and i could be considered united states citizens. In addition, my friend has been rejected from most of the universities he applied to because he was lacking legality in the united states. After realizing what i have taken for granted, i look to pursue the long term goals i have set out for myself. My mentality is stronger than most of my peers and i am certain that fsu would be the appropriate school for me to get an education and begin my journey towards success. This includes having to design numerous yearbook pages and write a number of articles. I take pride in completing these tasks to perfection, and really show my vision when it comes to the arts. I am not afraid to take on overwhelming responsibilities, and i enjoy being apart of something big. From my personal interactions i have learned that fsu is one of the best schools when it comes to loyalty and traditions. That excites me because it makes me want to be apart of the customs that are behind the philosophy at fsu. I understand i have to write about how mores is reflected in my life, but honestly i have not been apart of much tradition. That is why it would be an honor to include mores as one of the values in my life if i were to be accepted to this prestigious school. Ultimately, i recognized that vires, artes, and mores are, or can be, reflected in my life in a tremendous way. I will use my skills and motivation to create a mark in the history books of florida state university, if given the privilege to become a seminole.
